La Vaguada

History of La Vaguada

La Vaguada was inaugurated in 1983.  It was the first shopping centre in the Community of Madrid. This led to it being considered “The Heart of Madrid”, along with its perfect location, since it is located in the centre of the city, right in the El Pilar neighbourhood.

It has an area of 85,000 m2 over 3 commercial floors and 2 floors of parking with 3,600 available spaces. Together with its varied and complete commercial and recreational offering, this allows it to receive more than 5 million visitors every year.

From the beginning, the shopping centre has worked continuously for on-going renewal to be able to meet the expectations of visitors, while remaining in the lead in changing times, without losing at any time the essence of its history.
